I'm a writer, gardener, runner, new mom and very new to the blogging world. I worked for years in the print journalism world as a travel writer; I'm the author of a book on women in sports (titled "Women Who Win") and the co-editor of two humor anthologies.

But my new job, in higher education, and my new parent status has bumped the writing world seemingly far away. This, I hope, is soon to change.
